The highly anticipated showdown between David Haye and Tyson Fury is officially on.
Britain's two best heavyweights will slug it out over the championship distance on Saturday, September 28 at the Manchester Arena.
It appears Haye gave in to Fury's high demands to make this fight a reality.
"I have given Fury everything he wants in terms of the contract and there can now be no excuses. He has to sign," commentated Haye on his official website.
Further details of the event will be revealed at a Press Conference (July 11) with the fight expected to be broadcasted live on Sky Sports' Box Office platform.
It marks not only the biggest heavyweight encounter of 2013, but also the biggest fight staged in Britain for many years.
Although let's not forget the grudge match between Haye and Dereck Chisora was only last summer staged in a outdoor arena at West Ham's Upton Park stadium.
Manchester's Fury boasts a perfect professional record, impressively winning all 21 of his bouts to date with 15 of them ending inside the scheduled distance. The 25-year-old is a former British, Commonwealth and Irish heavyweight champion and is a born entertainer - inside and outside of the ring.
The 32-year-old Haye, meanwhile, is a hard-hitting former WBA heavyweight champion of the world, as well as the former WBC, WBA and WBO cruiserweight titleholder.
Haye is a clear favorite with the fans to KO Fury. The bookmakers agree, making Haye odds on to win at 1-6 with Fury a very reasonable 7-2.
